Kari Samantha Wuhrer (born on April 28th, 1967) was an American performer and actress. Wuhrer's career began as she was still a teenager. Her most famous roles include Maggie Beckett, an actress in Sliders as well as Sheriff Samantha Parker from the horror comedy Eight Legged Freaks. Wuhrer is the daughter of Karin Noble (nee Noble) working as an accountant for payroll and German American Andrew Wuhrer (a officer and dealer in cars). There are three sisters and brothers. She started singing at clubs as a teenager, and was known to sneak away from her home to perform. Kari is the daughter of an American-born father from Germany as well as a mother from Germany. Kari is the youngest of three kids. In her teens her nightclub, she performed and then slipped away to do a show. Kari, who was then 13 years old, attended the Wooster School as well as Tisch School of the Arts of New York University. She also attended drama classes in Columbia University, Marymount Manhattan College, Marymount Manhattan College college, and also at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art in which she was taught by a professor who was known as Uta. Kari was first introduced to acting when she was 13, and she got her first big break in 1987, when she was featured on MTV Remote Control.
